《blowing in the wind》，这是美国民谣史上最重要的作品之一，原作者是被公认为民歌一代宗师的 Bob Dylan，不过第一个把它唱红的是 Peter, Paul & Mary叁重唱，并且在1963年夺得全美排行的亚军。
这首歌的歌词于2016年10月13日作为鲍勃·迪伦获得诺贝尔文学奖的获奖作品。

Blowing in the wind，这是美国民歌史上最重要的作品之一。第二次世界大战，使得所有参战国都元气大伤，美国也不例外。战后的新生代由于不愿重蹈父兄的覆辙，建立起了新的价值观，对于上一代所喜爱的一切，几乎全盘 予以否定，甚至开创了全新的摇滚文化。1957年，越战爆发，美国介入了这场战争，投入大量人力、物力，还派遣子弟兵远渡重洋，前往越南战场，造成了惨重 的伤亡，因此美国社会掀起了一股反战热潮。
Bob Dylan在传奇性的民歌宗师Wo热潮ody Guthrie启迪下进入民歌界，很快的以独特的风格在格林威治村以及各大校园受到注意。1962年四月，他以深具内涵的创作技巧谱出「Blowing in the Wind」的时候，才是个二十刚出头。他希望世人能以和平而理性的态度来 解决争端，不要再对世间的不幸视而不见、听而不闻，更不要再让无辜的人们继续丧生在战火之中。
