《满江红》译文

昨天查询《满江红》的资料时，看到了电影版的译文和许渊冲先生的对比。觉得很有意思。

对比下来，我个人觉得许渊冲先生的版本更细腻。先生将一些必要的背景知识也包含在译文里面，更有利于读者理解。

电影版的则是直白翻译，意思也都在点上。

不过这两者所用场合不一样，译者也就可能有各自的侧重点和取舍。

凭栏处

潇潇雨歇

张：

My hair bristles with anger.

I lean against the rail.

The rain has stopped.

许：

Wrath sets on end my hair,

I lean on railings where

I see the drizzling rain has ceased.

抬望眼

仰天长啸

壮怀激烈

张：

Looking at the sky,

I let out a cry.

Emotions well up in my chest.

许：

Raising my eyes

Towards the skies,

I heave long sighs,

My wrath not yet appeased.

三十功名尘与土

八千里路云和月

张：

My achievements in the past are merely dust.

I fought bravely with the clouds and the moon.

许：

To dust is gone the fame achieved at thirty years;

Like cloud-veiled moon the thousand-mile land disappears.

莫等闲

白了少年头

空悲切

张：

Don't wait.

When your hair turns grey

you can only regret.

许：

Should youthful heads in vain turn grey,

We would regret for aye.

靖康耻 犹未雪

臣子恨 何时灭

张：

The national shame has not been avenged.

When can my hatred be wiped away?

Lost our capitals,

What a burning shame!

How can we generals

Quench our vengeful flame!

踏破贺兰山缺

张：

Riding war chariots,

we will tumble the Helan Mountains.

许：

Driving our chariots of war, we'd go

To break through our relentless foe.

壮士饥餐胡虏肉

笑谈渴饮匈奴血

张：

We will feast on the enemies'flesh,

and drink their blood.

许：

Valiantly we'd cut off each head;

Laughing, we'd drink the blood they shed.

待从头

收拾旧山河

朝天阙

张：

When we recover our lost lands,

we will satisfy people's demands.

许：

When we've reconquered our lost land,

In triumph would return our army grand
