读原著学英语(四)|《绿野仙踪》里“顽皮”的小词The Wond
《绿野仙踪》是美国作家莱曼•弗兰克•鲍姆(Layman Frank Baum 1856〜1919)最为著名、艺术成就最高的一部著作,成书于1900年。著名电影《飞屋环游记》的导演曾坦言他们费了很大劲才让该片不那么像《绿野仙踪》。
因为故事内容非常简单,所以本次阅读的重心不在翻译,而在于积累一些“小词”的用法。所谓“小词”就是那些看上去很熟悉且拼写简单的词,我们经常以为自己已经完全掌握了这类词。而童话故事却用鲜活的语境告诉我们:“小词”们也古灵精怪得很呢!绝不能小觑!
