Reading while incarcerated saved me
Summary
A prisoner discovered his full potential and became an avid writer after getting a college education, striving to escape prison life at present. He said he expanded his mind beyond the toxic environment by reading and writing. A concept toxic masculinity hit home for him. He started to think about that and reflect why he solved problems using violence before.Books expanded his mind beyond razor wire and towering concrete walls.He also mentioned that we should live in this society by adding to it as opposed to taking from it.
