Like
-
like
Do you like pasta?
He likes telling jokes
I don't like to cycle in the dark.
I don't like what he did.
关于
like to do
与like doing
would like
提供服务和请求:would you like a cup of coffee.
I'd like a cheese burger.
-
like
My sister is like my mother.
That looks like Tom's car.
He seems like a nice man.
当
like
作为similar to
、just
、very
、so
、more
Isn't that just like the bike we bought you for your birthday?
That smells very like garlic.
The car was more like a green than a blue color.
-
like
Like any good cook book will tell you, don't let the milk boil. (也可以是:As any good cook book ...)
但
as
和like
As you father, I will help you as much as I can.
Like your father, I will help you as much as I can.
as + noun
有种in the role of
意味similar to
/in the same way as
。 -
like
:There is something child-like about Marianne. She always seems so innocent.
-
like
I want to ......like...... I think we need to think carefully about it. It's ......like...... it's very difficult desicion for us to make.
还用
like
There were like five hundred guests at the wedding. (Like brings focus to the large number of guests.)
It wasn't till like 12:00 that I actually go to start on the project. (Like bings focus to how late it was.)
用
like what
A: Some really funny things happened on the last day of school.
B: Funny things? Like what?
like
A: So, did you buy anything there?
B: No. It was too expensive, like.
I hate the film. It was very violent, like.
-
what's ... like?
What's your new apartment like?
Not:
How's your new apartment like?how is ...?
A: How is your new car?
B: Wonderful. It's so much easier to drive than the old one.
-
be like
A: What's your new boss like?
B: She's nice. She is very professional.
Not:
She is like a very professianl person.A: What does you father look like?
B: He is very like me but taller and older.
Look
-
我们用
look
后面跟at
He's looking at me.
Not:
He's looking me.Don't look now.
不使用
look
+if
/whether
,用see
:Can you see if there are any biscuits in the cupboard.
Not:
Can you look if there are ...look
、look for
、look up
等。 -
look
、become
、seem
、as if
、as though
:That picture looks old.
That jacket looks very expensive.
It looks like a nice day outside.
She looks as if she is going to cry.
They looked as though they had seen a ghost.
-
look
Look, too many people have died in this war.
Look, Mark, you have been late for work every day this week. Is there a reason?
Marry / Divorce
-
marry
/divorce
Lauren Bacall married her co-star, Humphrey Bogart, in 1945 and made three more movies with him.
He married a wealthy widow, but she divorce him a year later.
The couple married three years ago and have a daughter, Molly.
-
get married
/get divorced
:Paul and Kaita are getting married in Shanghai.
She finally got divorced last year.
-
我们用
be married
/be divorced
They are divorced now.
We have been married for 50 years.
-
不在
married
或with
:She married someone she met at college.
Not:
She married to someone .../She married with someone... -
我们在
get married
、be married
后面用to
而不用with
:She got married to someone she met at college.
She is married to someone she met at college.
Not:
She got/is married with someone... -
我们用
from
跟在get devorced
/be devorcd
后面:She got divorced from her second husband.
She is divorced from her second husband.
She divorced her second husband.
