      To tell the truth, my English reading ability is bitterly bad, though I have been learning English for many years. Today my English teacher shared with us a method to learn how to read English materials effectively and promptly. I will share it with you. I hope these methods are also practicable for you.

      Firstly, you should read the passage for the first time without using any dictionary.

      Second, if you can't understand the whole passage. Please read it again. However, if you can't summarize the gist of the whole passage because there are too many new words in it, you can make use of a dictionary.

        Thirdly, the most important thing is to write down the key words. Furthermore, you should build a framework for the passage. Then you can write down the summary of this passage.

          That's all for the methods of English reading. I hope that I can get used to these methods as soon as possible. What's more, I hope my English reading ability will get better and better.
