刻意练习 Chapter 6 下

参加读书会这段时间我也在刻意练习自己看书的速度以及练习如何提高看书的质量。刚开始总是觉得很难坚持,把每天的阅读任务视做是一座大山。也常常懊恼为何自己写不出一个像样的读书笔记,为何看了书水平也没有提高,为何昨天整理的笔记今天又忘记了。后来我想我的出发点错了,我很功利的想通过阅读那么一两本书英语就会有突飞猛进的变化。慢慢的改变心态,做到如Eric所说的读书顺便学点英文。从一开始,看到生词就查,到渐渐的,先把生词标出来,看看是否是关键词,看看作者在之后的段落里有没有通过例子或者其他句子解释这个。今天在文中的plateau这个词,好似让我吃了一颗糖。为什么呢。我其实之前看到过这个单词,但是不是很理解其中的意思。今天我遇到也没有直接去查,我做了标记然后看例子,有了更深刻的体会,Josh的例子就是很好的解释了何为plateau.他通过练习取得了一定进步,但是之后却进步很小,甚至没有进步了,总是达不到他的目标。

作者也在后面用了一些句子来表达。

记单词在语境中记忆,效果更好。而我明天也不会忘记这个单词,甚至有了例子为辅,记忆更加深刻。

读书会的意义也是集合了一群优秀的有共同目标的小伙伴一起,这样不仅可以更有效的克服懒癌,还能给feedback。于我而言,我觉得还有一个很重要的原因就是鼓励。或许这种鼓励不是给我的,但是看到小伙伴的鼓励就会觉得很温暖。这也是作者说的。

因为我们的读书会我的坚持少了一份孤单,多了一些动力。也非常感谢Eric的组织。
