绘本讲师训练营【17期】18/21阅读原创《Tug the pup is brave.》

This morning Simon and I were reading on our way to kindergarten again. I picked up this book——< tug the pup is brave > with me. when I took it out from my bag, Simon said that he still wanted to read < the lost crab > again. But sadly, I didn’t have it at that moment, I promised him I would bring it this afternoon when I go to pick him home. He felt satisfied then.

Before reading, I showed him the front cover, and asked, “ who are they in the picture?”  “Tug the pup and Big pig.” Well, he did know them now.

“Are they happy?”

“No, they are sad.”

“ you are right, Big pig is scared! He is in the middle of the water, Big pig said, help help! Who can help Big pig?”

“Tug the pup.” Simon said.

“Let’s read the story together and find out.”

About the story.

Tug the pup is flying a kite, he sees a hot air balloon falling down from the sky. It was Big pig riding the air balloon. Big pig fell into the water. Tug the pup jumped in the water to save Big pig. What a brave pup!

It’s a story about a brave person. But I didn’t think a 4-year-old boy would understand when a person saved the other from dangers was brave. Of course I didn’t want him to misunderstand that jumping into the water is brave. I told him that helping people out of troubles is brave! Then I read the story for him again. And I made him read on his own as well.

After reading, we went to the kindergarten happily. what a nice reading morning!
