In the year 1888, 28th of May, the Michelin brothers Andre and Eduoard had created a company to produce bicycles and tyres for the carriages.

Before the 90s in the 19th century, there's no such thing as tyres for vehicles like cars. To showcase that pneumatic tyres can be used on vehicles, the Michelin brothers assembled a vehicle with this type of tyres by using screws to fix the tyres, then took part in an event which is Paris-Brest cycle event in the year1895. Even though they did not win in the event, but they sure did raise the interest towards the pneumatic tyre.
