Make Mistakes (Frank Wilczek)

As a Nobel Laureate and theoretical physicist, Frank Wilczek engages some of the most complex topics of our time. His quote confronts one of the biggest obstacles to making breakthrough. Making mistakes is an essential part of life. No one and nothing is ever one hundred percent perfect. So we shouldn't let the fear of making a blunder stop us from taking that big risk. Naturally, we have a greater risk for making missteps with harder problems. Does that mean we should avoid solving those problems? Not at all. We should try to conquer those major issues, knowing that SNAFUs (Situation Normal, All Fucked Up) are likely, but they aren't the end of the world. It might take some time, but we can rebound, move on, and learn from our gaffes. Who knows! Your biggest blunder might wind up being the best thing you ever did. And if it turns out to truly be a mistake, at least you learned what not to do for next time.
