第94届奥斯卡颁奖典礼出现了非常有戏剧性的一幕，由于颁奖人克里斯·洛克开了威尔·史密斯老婆的玩笑，嘲笑威尔史密斯的老婆，说她现在是光头，可以演《魔鬼女大兵》。本来还笑脸迎人的威尔·史密斯，直接上台打了克里斯·洛克一拳。

Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.

Jokes at one’s expense表示“拿某人开玩笑”：if you make a joke at sb's expense , you laugh at them and make them feel silly 在某人受损的情况下；以某人为代价；跟某人开玩笑

At one’s expense当然还可以表示：paid for by sb 由某人付钱；由某人负担费用

I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.

I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.
