Cultural confident

Just moments ago, I had done a small of the Chinese language examination; I was very luck had got 100 points. It recalls my memory of the cultural confident when I have been to New Zealand in the first few years.

As a bank economist, when nearly in my forty-year-old, I immigrate to an English speaking country, without English l just look like An illiterate mute.

I can only do some labour jobs. When sometime I couldn't understand what others say, they took me like an idiot.

One day I had invited to a diner in a pastor’s home. There is Chinese calligraphy in the living room. I recited the text of the arts. Then the pastor was amazed. He tells me that was a gift for him which from a friend six years ago but been no one can read it.

I explained that it is a copy of the Chinese ancient most significant arts. It Lanting Xu, is a piece of Chinese calligraphy work generally considered to be written by the well-known calligrapher Wang Xizhi. He said he admired Chinese cultural but Chinese language is complicated him to learn.But he surprised that a lot of Chinese people could speak good  English.

By his encouraging words, I feel cultural confidence in my knowledge of Chinese. Also, I believe I could learn English well.

Now, I am bilingual. I can read both Chinese and English. I think Chinese cultures like the Yangtze River and the Yellow River ，going to the ocean where are multicultural, making the world colourful and more significant.

As I can read English, therefore, there are many cultures door open for me to explore. Such as ancient Greece Cultural ，I am studying now. And Japanese culture, I will learn when I good enough to speak the Japanese language.

Because I am confident in Chinese culture, I could humbly to learn to accept all good nation cultures.

文化自信

就在刚才，我做了一个小的中文考试，我很幸运得了100分。它让我想起了我在新西兰的头几年的文化自信。

作为一个银行经济师，当我快四十岁的时候，我移民到了一个讲英语的国家，没有英语，我看起来就像一个文盲哑巴。

我只能做一些劳动工作。有时候我听不懂别人在说什么，他们却把我当成白痴。

有一天我被邀请去一个牧师家里的餐厅吃饭。客厅里有中国书法。我背诵了这门艺术的课文。然后牧师很惊讶。他告诉我那是六年前一个朋友送给他的礼物。但没人看得懂。

我解释说，它是中国古代最重要的艺术的复制品。《兰亭序》是中国书法家王羲所撰一部书法作品。他说他欣赏中国文化，但汉语是复杂的他学习。但是他惊讶地发现很多中国人都能讲一口流利的英语。

通过他鼓舞人心的话语，我感受到了文化对我的中文知识的信心。同时，我相信我能学好英语。

现在，我是双语者。我能读中文和英文。我认为中国文化像长江和黄河，去到海洋的多元文化，使世界丰富多彩和意义。

正如我可以阅读英语，因此，有许多文化的大门为我打开探索。比如古希腊文化，我现在正在学习。和日本文化，我会学习当我足够好说日语。

因为我对中国文化有信心，所以我可以虚心学习接受所有好的国家文化。
