The Help Chapter 27-the end
The first thing I want to say about this book is that it is an easy reading. The plot of this book is simple and easy to follow. Except for some colloquial language narrated by the colored characters, the language in the whole book is quite straightforward. Several characters in the book are worth discussing and even some lessons about equality and respect can be drawn from the reading. Chinese readers may avoid such subject when choosing a leisure reading material, thinking that the racism may never bother their lives. However, as a reader with no racial victim complex, I still find this book insightful, not because it advocates racial equality, but because it upholds humanity. Overall, it is an easy reading, and I would recommend this book to students with a TOEFL score above 80.
