Google just announced AMP for Email, and it gives emails some functionalities of a website, such as filling out forms and browse online stores. The AMP technology is not new, but Google just seems to be able to add a little bit more technology to people's everyday life.

谷歌刚刚宣布了 AMP for Email，它会带给电邮一些网页的功能，比如填写表格和浏览网店。这个AMP科技并不是最新的，但是谷歌好像就总是可以把多一点的科技带到我们的日常生活中。

Google also announced Stadia, its gaming solution. It uses your device as a screen to stream data onto, and so the games will not be limited to your devices' hardware capacities.

These two products both allow a better flow of information. This idea ties back to internet connectivity. They also relates to the meaning of "googol", which is a very very large number.

The idea of "google" is behind a lot of things the company does. It's a very scientific company, and it is fascinated about internet connectivity. Its search engine is to bring vast amount of information to its users. It incubates a large number of startups, trying to bring many ideas into reality.

公司做的很多事背后都有google这个概念。它是个很科学的公司，也是个对网络互联所着迷的公司。它的搜索引擎就是把大量的信息给到用户。它还孵化着很多初创，把大量的想法变成现实。

Google also applies this idea in managing the company. Quite a percentage of their teams are located in different places. They did a study on these teams and concluded the following tips for managing them: make meetings convenient for everyone, ensure the connecting technologies are adequate, foster real personal relationships, set clear rules related to work and the team.

谷歌还把这个主意带到公司的管理上。很大一部分谷歌的团队是处在不同的地点的。他们对这些团队做了个调研，并总结出一些管理的小窍门：让会议对每个人都方便，保证沟通的科技是足够的，培养真正的人与人之间的关系，对工作和团队有关的事有明确的规则。

Here's another example of Google in the spirit of "googol". YouTube wanted to pay content makers based on views rather than ads in 2017, hoping to encourage contents viewers like. Google said no because the company wanted to avoid the "filter bubble" problem.

The "filter bubble" problem occurs when big data algorithms direct you to information or products you may like. In doing so, you are not able to see other kinds of information anymore. Google says no to this. The Google search engine, by design, avoids the "filter bubble" problem because it only sees the search words and gives you suggestions regardless of who you are.

“过滤闭环”的问题就是当大数据算法把你指引到你会喜欢的信息或产品。这样，你就看不到其他种的信息了。谷歌不希望有这样的问题。谷歌的搜索引擎从设计上能避免“过滤闭环”的问题，因为它只看到搜索的语句，不管你是谁给你的推荐都是一样的。
