剑桥英语词典里对“You re a star”是这样解释的：something you say to someone when they have been nice and helpful to you

当你对他人伸出援助之手时对方说的话，其实是在夸你：你真是个大好人。It's very nice of you. 相当于我们常说的：你真是我的大救星。

但实际上也有明星的含义：如果你真是明星名人，You re star.也可以是:你是大明星, 这里的star=明星。

2、see stars 不是“看星星”

想到尔康和紫薇的看星星看雪看月亮，顿时觉得好浪漫，但是see stars实际上却让人：头晕眼花，眼冒金星。如果你想看天上的星星，可以说look at the stars 或者 watch stars

如果是类似赏月的看，还可以说appreciate the stars，可不要用see stars，免得引起误解。

3、跟“明星”相关的star

①guest star

guest star的意思是“特约演员明星，客串”，这里的star可以是动词，意思就是“appear in a guest role”。

安妮斯顿客串一个女主编的角色，与考克斯演对手戏。

也可以是名词比如：

He just wants you as a guest star.

他只是请你去客串。

②new star／rising star

star的主要意思是“星星，明星”new star就可以表示“新发现的星球；新秀，新星”

例句：

Publicity agents were beating the drum about the new star.

广告代理商都在竭力吹捧这名新星。

③star turn

意思是：主要演员，主要环节

例句：

The star turn in that movie is really charming. I have a big crush on him.

那部电影中的主演很有魅力。我很喜欢他。

④shooting star

最后学一下很多人喜欢看的流星“流星”= shooting star （或meteor）

例：

A bright shooting star is an unforgettable sight.

明亮的流星，是番难忘的景象。

There was a shooting star outside.
