A Quite Place

Human being is a strange creature. Sometimes he looks for a quite place to stay alone, sometimes he throws himself into a noisy place and tries to make some unpleasant things melt away.

When I'm peaceful, it doesn't matter for me to stay anywhere. When I'm unhappy, I'd like to look for a quiet place to stay alone. When I was a student, the quiet place that I used to go to was the fields not far from school. Sometimes my friend went with me, a good talk always made me forget unpleasant thing. After being at work, the quiet place is my office, when I need to recover myself from unhealthy mood, I always lock the door and write something down. The quiet room and soft music always make me peaceful, and what I wrote always made me know myself a little more.

Nowadays more and more people dislike quietness. In fact, it's not easy for you to find a quiet place. There are fewer quiet places nowadays than there were previously. Much sound of advertisement or loud music comes from the loudspeakers of stores, shopping centers or some public places.And Chinese people like to speak loudly everywhere as if they do at home. They don't have the sense of private room. It's shameful. Yet there are some places that are free of noise, in which we should keep quiet, such as hospitals, libraries, theatres, museums and so on.

Why do some people dislike quietness? Wherever they stay, they even keep the loud music on. Soft music can be background like natural sound. But can they work effectively with so noisy music? I guess maybe they feel lonely, they really need something to company them. In fact, if your heart can't be peaceful, there is always something noisy to disturb you, even it's truly a quiet place. Anything can cause noise because of your noisy heart.

Slow down.

Keep quiet.

Look into yourself to find who you are and what you really need. Find the peace in your heart. Then you may hear birds singing outside your window, the fragrance of plants reaches you as you walk outside. Everywhere can be a natural park. Smile will flows out from your heart even when you see a little sparrow.
