Lesson 11 One good turn deserves another 礼尚往来

I was having dinner at a restaurant when Harry Steele came in. Harry worked in a lawyer's office years ago, but he is now working at a bank. He gets a good salary, but he always borrows money from his friends and never pays it back. Harry saw me and came and sat at the same table. He has never borrowed money from me. While he was eating, I asked him to lend me twenty pounds. To my surprise, he gave me the money immediately. 'I have never borrowed any money from you,' Harry said, 'so now you can pay for my dinner!'

Hello, I am Tony, Tony Steale. I worked in a lawyer's office years ago and now I serve at a bank. I bought a new house 'with installment'[=> by installment] 5 years ago. Althought I get high salaries but I never have enough money. So I always borrow money from my friends but always fail to pay it back. I am saving money for monthly payments. Yesterday, I went to a restaurant for lunch. Accidentally, Jersey was there too. I sat at the same table with him. I has never borrowed money from Jersey, but he asked me to lend him twenty pounds suddenly when I was eating[#1 :170125 这句逻辑有点问题]. At that moment, I had only twenty pounds in pocket. So I gave him all and I told him that he could pay for my dinner because I never borrowed any money from him.

One day, he went into a restaurant when Jersey was having lunch. Tony saw Jersey and went and sat at the same table. While Tony was eating, Jersey asked Tony to lend him twenty pounds. Tony gave him the money immediately. Then Tony 'said'[=> told Jersey :170125] that he had never borrowed money from Jersey so jersey should pay for his dinner.
