Teacher's Day

翻到以前写给Rory的信，感慨时光飞逝。

恩，今年及以后的教师节我都要写信。

Dear Rory,

Happy Teacher's Day!

You once said that a sincere letter speaks louder than a short message. That's why I write this letter.

I want to say thank you on this speacial day. My thanks goes to the enlightenment and encouragement you bring to me. Your words and wits are still sparkling in my head or in my notes.

It's September now. The campus hums with fresh faces which remind me of my first year at XTU. I can still paint a picture of a little-fresh-meat-me in my mind: dirt-yellow skin after military trainning, drowsy eyes at 8 o'clock every morning, a chubby face in puzzle, a shy girl who wanted to hide in the crowd.

Three years has passed as swiftly as wind. The fresh-faced girl becomes a senior student, ready to say goodbye. When I look back on my collage life, many things have changed but the most cherished part remains to stay. I still want to be a good translator, still try to learn from the best, still cautiously choose my friends, still respect beautiful and interesting minds.

All this underlying but prfound influence comes from you or the book you recommend. I am so lucky and proud to be a student of you! All I want to say is thank you. You are the best teacher ever in my life.
