秋言物语（44）| 马小秋：无人超市带来的思考

看到一则新闻报导，说马云的无人超市在杭州开业了。这在很多人看来，无疑又是一个可喜的高科技成果，但我个人对此事的看法不容乐观。

It’s reported that Jack Ma has opened an unmanned supermarket in Hangzhou. This is undoubtedly a gratifying high-tech achievement in the eyes of many people, but I’m not quite optimistic on this matter.

表面看来，无人超市节省了大量的人力、物力，但这仅仅是商家的利益。从国家乃至整个人类的层面来看，它的出现未必是一件好事。当大量的＂无人化＂取代了＂有人化＂的操作，将造成大量的失业人员，而失业人员的增加，必将给国家和社会造成严重的负担。我们完全没有足够的社会保障能力，我们拿什么来保证这些失业人员的生存和生活问题？与此同时，我们又有什么样的措施和方法，来维持社会的安定团结？这难道不是一个令人十分担心的问题吗？

Superficially, unmanned supermarket saves a lot of manpower and material resources, but this is only for the interests of businessmen. Its emergence may not be a good thing from the perspective of the state and even the entire human beings. When a large number of “unmanned” operations replace “manned” operation, this will cause a large number of unemployed people, which will inevitably cause serious burden to the state and society. Our social security capacity is not high enough yet, so what can we do to ensure the survival and life of these unemployed people and what kind of measures and methods can we take to maintain social stability and unity? Isn’t this a very worrying issue?

中华民族五千多年以来，我们的祖先为我们留下了无数文化遗产和科技发明：指南针、造纸术、印刷术、火药乃至中医等。古人的这些发明创造无一不是遵道而行：＂人法地，地法天，天法道，道法自然。＂人法地——厚徳载物，地法天——天道酬勤，天法道——天是道的产物。道生万物而本自自然。

The Chinese nation has existed for over 5,000 years. Our ancestors left us numerous cultural heritages and scientific inventions: the compass, papermaking, printing, gunpowder and even tradition Chinese medicine. All these ancient inventions were put forward out of respect for Tao: “Man follows Earth, Earth follows Heaven, Heaven follows Tao, and Tao follows nature.” Man follows Earth, thus great virtue can carry all things; Earth follows Heaven, thus Heaven help those who help themselves; Heaven follows Tao, thus Heaven comes from Tao. Tao gives birth to all things and it itself comes from nature.

高科技的发展给人类带来大量便利的同时，人类也在不知不觉中丧失了本来具足的行为能力。没有基本的劳作，一切都来得那容易，将来的人类从外形到智能将是一个怎样的状况？

The development of high technology brings a lot of convenience to human beings who lose their own behavior ability unconsciously. We have everything coming at our hands so easily without making any basic labor. What will human beings’ appearance and intelligence become of in the future?

据古史资料记载，我们上古的人类具备千里眼、顺风耳，但今天有人相信吗？完全不可能相信！我们只会认为那是神话，那是人们想象出来的。但通过目前的社会现象看，试想一下，随着科技的发展，我们完全可以饭来张口，衣来伸手，一切都可以坐享其成，四体不勤，五谷不分。到那时，我们将在丧失功能的同时丧失掉我们几千年的文化。

According to historical records, the ancient human beings had the ability of clairvoyance and clairaudience, but do we contemporary people believe this? Completely incredible! We only regard this as myth which was imagined by ancient people themselves, but as shown by the current social phenomenon, we can imagine that we will be able to enjoy everything without the need of any toil as science and technology further develops in the future. We can eat a ready-cooked meal and have our clothing ready at hands. Our four limbs don’t need to toil and we can tell wheat from beans. By then, we will lose our functions as well as our thousands of years of culture.

当今，科学技术是推动人类进步的必然趋势，但怎样合理化、有序化和科学化的应用，才是我们防微杜渐、防患于未然的关键所在。

Nowadays, it is an inevitable trend for science and technology to promote human progress, but how to apply it reasonably, orderly and scientifically is the key to nipping evil in the bud.（2017年7月16日马小秋分享）
