What I Talk About When I Talk About Running is a book that talks about more than running. The author is a Japanese novelist, I don’t know what is his English name.
I bought the Chinese version. I like reading this book. I like the book’s name.
What do I talk about when I talk about running? It’s a good and hard question.
When I talk about running, I want to talk about:
Goals
If you want to run a marathon, you have to set it as a goal. One clear specific goal can make you take action.
Plan
If you only have a goal, it won’t let your dream come true. You have to slice the goal to be little pieces. You should eat a piece of cake one time. To finish a marathon, you must make a plan. When and where do you run? How far do you run every time? What is your milestone? How do you balance with your life and running? Lots of things should be planned.
Action
Action make your dreams come true. You have to take action at once as soon as you have set a goal and plan. Practice running, recover, then run, then recover. And you need to check your plan and make some adjustments. It will take you a long time to practice. In the end, you are sure to finish a marathon by yourself.
