Exercise do's and don'ts
Recently, I have resumed swimming. Based on the two days of practice, here are some things you should do:
First, lunchtime is always the best time. Yesterday I was there after lunch around 12:30, swimming almost alone in the lane. Today I went before lunch at 11:50 and again took the whole lane to myself. Besides, there were few people on the way to the gym and everything was just beautiful: blue sky, cotton candy clouds and sunny summer, like in an animated series of Gong Qijun!
Secondly, just do it and you will feel more and more comfortable and energetic. Yesterday, I did not feel very well during and after swimming. Firstly, I swam with a full stomach, and secondly, after a long time without training, every part of my body was not familiar with swimming. Not only did I feel tired but I was extremely weak afterwards, fell asleep very early around 10 pm, and had aches and sores all over. Today, with a half-empty stomach, I swam continuously and vigorously for 40 minutes. After that, I was full of energy until midnight and had no physical discomfort. To my joyful surprise, my mind was sharp and clear. We need to put the discomfort aside and just swim, that's what we need to do. It will get better and better, physically and mentally.
Third, to make the 2 hours more effective, I listened to lectures and talks with my waterproof mp3 sports headphones on the way to and from the gym and while swimming and showering. With this handy equipment, I was enriched both physically and intellectually. Double the use of time, double the performance, and double the reward.
Below are three things I should not have done and will never do again:
First, do not exercise on a full stomach, it's extremely unhealthy and I had a bad, sometimes even painful feeling in my stomach. In the long run, something will definitely go wrong, so do not play with fire.
Second, do not walk or run barefoot on the treadmill. The sick workout from the day before yesterday had weakened my ankles and I could barely jump ropes today.
Third, do not forget to take a nucleic acid test every other day and make sure your health code is always valid within 48 hours or you will not be allowed to enter a cool indoor gym.
Alright! Please see the yeses and nos above for your reference. Wish everybody health and happiness every day!
