今天coursera学习吴恩达的机器学习终于进展到了神经网络这章。
Neuron rewire experiment:

Here comes the interesting part, when scientists rewire a animal's brain part(Auditory cortex) which processes sound onto an animal's eye, that brain part learns how to see.

This reminds me a TED talk by a blind person who describes his way of life. At one moment, he mentioned a capacity of sensoring the environment by making sound by clapping his tongue and mouth (the upper right of the picture--Human echolocation). It makes sense now by knowing that neurons can always learn new functionality.
