1.fray 

verb.

fray is a verb. when the clothes get pierced during the wearing, especially for a long time. 

so if someone  very often wears this clothes or he /she is  very thrifty(节俭的) about the life on wearing, this condition may happen.

example:

Her skirts all frayed after wearing for several decades.

2.obsolete

adj 过时的

obsolete is an adjective. It means something is out of style. It lost the used value and was sifted out .

3.
