世上书多得如大海，各种各样的内容都有，而人的精力是有限的，不可能将它们全部读完，只能选取自己所需要的东西罢了。因此希望求学的人每读一遍书，都要确定一个目标，来指导自己的研究探讨，比如想探求古今国家的兴衰存亡以及圣人贤人所发挥的作用，就单独去探求这一个方面，不要有其他的念头，以免分散精力。另外再读一遍，探求人物事迹、历史旧事、典制掌故，也采用这个办法。

Books are as plentiful as the ocean's waters, covering every topic imaginable. But since we're only human, we can't read 'em all. We gotta pick and choose what we need. So, when you hit the books, set a clear goal to steer your studies. Say you wanna dig into the rise and fall of nations, or the impact of wise and virtuous folks, just focus on that. Don't let your mind wander – it'll just dilute your efforts. And when you go for another round, whether it's about people's deeds, historical events, or ancient customs, apply the same strategy. Keep it tight and targeted.
