----------拜伦原诗是格律体。手头有一本拜伦诗选，翻译者是杨德豫，译者用现代语翻译，便于表达。看到网上有作者用五言诗翻译，于是也试一试，好像很契合原诗的格律体的气质。也是对于意译的一次大胆尝试。

挥手自兹去------拜伦诗作When We Two Parted

When we two parted

  In silence and tears,

Half broken-hearted

To sever for years,

挥手自兹去，

相对泪无语。

肝肠已寸断，

此去又经年。

Pale grew thy cheek and cold,

Colder thy kiss;

Truly that hour foretold

Sorrow to this!

花容尽失色，

吻别重悲寒。

离恨鸟惊心，

哀伤何以绝。

The dew of the morning

  Sunk chill on my brow--

It felt like the warning

Of what I feel now.

朝雾露华浓，

寒凝眉宇间。

彼时花溅泪，

今朝悲心田。

（诗作的上半部分还在怀念过去的恋人，沉吟婉转，九曲回肠。下半阙却猝然转折，羞愧于昔日恋人的轻浮浪名。诗的韵律和气质也突然转变，表达了羞愧、不屑、谴责糅杂在一起的思念。）

Thy vows are all broken,

And light is thy fame;

I hear thy name spoken,

And share in its shame.

盟誓今何在，

浪名招蜂蝶。

芳名每提及，

无奈羞愧间。

They name thee before me,

A knell to mine ear;

A shudder comes o'er me--

Why wert thou so dear?

屡闻卿名讳，

钟磬复悲鸣。

愁思寒彻骨，

情长期绵绵。

They know not I knew thee,

Who knew thee too well:--

Long, long shall I rue thee,

Too deeply to tell.

说者未经意，

此情已铭心。

怜惜不尽憾，

蚀骨无言传。

In secret we met--

In  silence I grieve,

That thy heart could forget,

Thy spirit deceive.

佳期共剪烛，

悲忆藏默缄。

卿心何可忘，

怅惘君情变。

If I should meet thee

After long years,

How should I greet thee?---

With silence and tears.

经年若重逢，

恍然疑梦间。

相视竟凝噎，

泪飞顿做雨！
