主阿！使我做你和平之子，

在憎恨之处，播下仁爱；

在伤痕之处，播下宽恕；

在怀疑之处，播下信心；

在绝望之处，播下盼望；

在幽暗之处，播下光明；

在忧愁之处，播下欢愉；

主啊！使我少为自己求，

少求受安慰，但求安慰人；

少求被了解，但求了解人；

少求爱，但求全心付出爱；

因为

在赦免时，我们便蒙赦免；

在舍弃时，我们便有所得；

在死亡时，我们便得重生。

这段祈祷文的英文是这样的

O Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. 

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon; 

where there is discord, union; 

where there is doubt, faith; 

where there is despair, hope; 

where there is darkness, light; 

where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,

 teach me to seek not so much to be loved, as to love; 

not so much to be understood as to understand; 

not so much to be consoled, as to console. 

For it is in pardoning that I am pardoned; 

it is in giving that I receive and

 it is in dying that I shall rise to eternal life at last.
