The TANF, passed by Congress to provide stimulus funds to low-and middle-income families, appears to be working as well, or even better, than it has ever done. However, it should be clear to us that these families barely subsist on $2 a day. The term "interim'' also indicates that this material support can only be provided in a very short period of time. How can the poor survive when these payments are withdrawn? We can therefore conclude that there are many ways to go beyond financing them.

First, the government should provide jobs for poor parents. While most poor people struggle to eke out a living, it is better than selling plasma to nurture a growing, multi-billion-dollar global industry because of their desperate poverty. Once jobs are provided to the poor, they are better able to support their families to some extent. At same time, a decline in crime would bring social stability.

In addition, the Government should teach the poor some professional skills and personal development skills. As the old chinese saying goes, "it' s better to teach a hungry man to fish than teach him.'' Money is spent, while technical skills acquired through professional training last a long time. With these skills, the poor can find other jobs even if previous jobs disappear. So avoid the awkward situation of unemployment, jumping from couches to coughs, hiding in shelters, exchanging sex for food or shelter.

Returning to the policy itself does, to some extent, fill a hole in the plight of the poor. However, we can still see that the poverty reduction made possible by this policy differs between black and indigenous children in the Americas. The Government should think further before implementing this policy, at least taking into account the different social status and living capacities of different groups. In short, governments should pay more attention to the poor and vulnerable.

In short, if the government enjoys the devotion of everyone who lives in this country, it should take responsibility for pulling them out when they are in trouble. Helping these people is helping the government itself.
