As a matter of fact, there are no formal philosophical works or professional philosophers. Everyone in old China should study philosophy just like everyone in the west should go to church. And studing philosophy is to enable a man, as a man, to be a man, not some particular kind of man. Apparently, disconnectedness seems inevitable.
