Research shows that TikTok has received 300 complaints only in two weeks, due to the video's content inappropriate for children, including adult nudity and sexual intercourse. Furthermore, a TikTok feature designed as parental control and known as Family Pairing did not require that an adult overseeing a child’s account be verified as the child’s actual parent or guardian, so everyone can connect with a child’s account. Hence, the function can’t protect children’s privacy efficiently and is also not suitable for children to use.
