1. I liked the insouciance that presented on the same page two features so different in gravity. 

insouciance: a cheerful feeling of not caring or worrying about anything

仿写: He replied with characteristic insouciance: "So what?"

2. He said, “It takes audacity and exuberance and gaiety,and the most important one is audacity.

audacity: the quality of having enough courage to take risks or say impolite things

仿写: I can’t believe he had the audacity to ask me for more money!

3. I need to feel a certain rapport with the person I’ll be writing about.

rapport: friendly agreement and understanding between people

仿写: He built up a good rapport with the children.

4. He was a  taciturn man, the son of Swedish immigrants,not given to amplitude.

taciturn: speaking very little, so that you seem unfriendly

仿写: My taciturn brother had become even more silent, as if he himself had turned into stone.

在自信方面，作者说到One way to generate  confidence is to write about subjects that interest youand that you care about. 写一些自己感兴趣的话题，把自己写开心了，读者也能从中获得开心，若是自己不熟悉的话题，尽量拓展思维，看看主题能不能联系自己的经历，从而写成自己的东西。
