Cheetahs are the fastest land mammals on this planet.You may confuse a cheetah with a leopard because of the similar appearances. However,with a careful look,you'll easily set them apart.

The cheetah has unique 'tear-stained' black marks that run from the corner of the eyes down the side of the nose to the mouth. It has a flat head with little whiskers compared to other felines. Its lean and leggy figure stands it out when chasing the prey. Contracting the muscles in seconds,the cheetah uses two front paws to trip the prey. Its tail,sometimes lifting up near-vertically to the sky, works as a steer to balance its body during the fierce capture. Unlike the leopard who has uneven spots,the cheetah has more circular-shaped spots in light brown.
