A person who has good manners will not push through a crowd, but wait quietly for his turn to pass. He will not interrupt people when they are talking. He will not say anything that will hurt other’s feelings. All these are called good manners, which show a man of high standing.

There would be great people and ordinary people and little people, but the great would always be those who had done great things, and never the idiots whose mothers had spoiled them and whose fathers had left a hundred thousand a year; and the little would be persons of small minds and mean characters, and not the poor persons who had never had a chance.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.

Cultural Background
