The Loquat Tree

    A impressive sentence which i came across on the Internet. "In the courtyard there was the loquat i planted the year which my wife died. It stood there with graceful poise, its top spread out with exuberant foliage" This sentence which was written by Guiyouguang come out of Xiangjixuan. It is a plain and simple description of the deep longing for his wife. I was deeply moved and wrote a poem and a song. Because of my limited English level, there will be many dificiencies.

英文:   Your voice died away in the wind.

            Waking up in a  dream leaves me wanting more.

            Where am i now with a deep sigh.

            The loquat in the courtyard is the object of my poetry

            Your voice and appearance are always on my mind, just as happened yesterday.

            Life and death, the two apart!

中文:         耳畔伊声随风逝

                  梦中惊醒意犹思

                  蓦然长叹今何在

                  庭前枇杷诀别诗

                  音容笑貌恍如昨

                  生死相隔两不知

在网上无意中看到一句话:"庭有枇杷树，吾妻死之年所手植也，今已亭亭如盖矣"。这是归有光所写的《项脊轩志》里的一句话，它平淡又朴实地描述了对妻子的深切思念。我被这句话深深感动，由此写了一首诗和一首歌，因为本人自身英语水平有限，所以翻译会有很多不足之处。

        初遇的经过  嫣然一笑恍如昨

        往事的残破  徒留眼角的余热

        蒙尘的书桌  自你走后难触摸

        梦里的交错  醒来剩下的苦涩

        庭前的枇杷熟了  可现在你在哪儿呢

        为什么这么多年  你的笑容  我却还记得

        回忆里每个时刻  要我怎么捕捉

        为什么这荒草丛生的余生  只剩我一个

        旧时的院落  回忆随时间斑驳

        初遇的经过  嫣然一笑恍如昨

        往事的残破  徒留眼角的余热

        蒙尘的书桌  自你走后难触摸

        梦里的交错  醒来剩下的苦涩

        庭前的枇杷绿了  可现在我在哪儿呢

        为什么梦醒之后  你的身影  慢慢消失了
