整个第一章读下来,首先深深的被作者的语言魅力折服,每一段和自己母亲的对话,自己描绘这段经历,对话里的童真,描述经历时的诙谐无不让自己深陷。
抛开文章的大背景,谈一下自己感触深的几个地方吧。
首先在第一章引言部门作者描述文章背景的时候有一句话 You separate people into groups and make them hate one another so you can run them all.这句话算是对种族隔离制度的高度概括了吧。历史上这样的事件层出不穷,现实生活里也是被印证,作者的这句话真的让自己想了很多但是又好像什么都没想出来。
再者作者第一段中写自己的童年,一个有着信仰的母亲,一个天生顽劣的小孩。不管是描述去教堂的经历,还是描述自己被母亲追着打,还是最后从车上跳下来的经历。自己真的好想感叹,这样的童年好欢乐,虽然充满苦难。不由得想起自己的童年。孩子的天性是一样的,母亲也真的是身体力行在保护着自己的孩子,在文中作者描述到他五岁时不知道Nelson Mandela的释放,那时他意识到有一个被称为种族隔离政策结束了。不管背景如何苦难,至少在这段经历中孩子的童年是愉快的。再次想感叹父母…
最后,真的超级喜欢作者的语言风格。这是第一次读英文原版书,感觉会爱上。因为在对话环节自己就在想要是换成中文,可能就没有这种韵味了。
