It was time for my performance review by our department head. It was monthly routine before pay date for last month, said by the director. He called me into his office and discussed the work I did in the last month and gave me a score for each item.
It was the second time after our old department merged with the new one. We never had such a routine before. Everyone doesn't like these things, but I can't help it.
I got a total score of 85, which was neither good and nor bad. However, the score was related to the money I would get. Last month I got 83. I thought it was nonsense, that it depended on what emotion or mood the director was feeling at that time.
