Location:

In the centre of the tip of the middle finger.

Needling:

Perpendicular or oblique insertion directed proximally 0.1 to 0.2 cun or prick to bleed.

Actions:

1. Clears heat from the Pericardiumand revives consciousness

清心包经之热，恢复意识。

2. Clears the Heart and benefits the tongue

清心利舌

3. Clears summer-heat

清暑热

Indications:

1. Windstroke, injury by summer-heat, loss of consciousness, fever, fever with agitation and oppression, heat in the body like fire, headache, hypertension.

中风，暑热，丧失意识，高热，热而烦闷，热如燔碳，头痛，高血压

2. Pain at the root of the tongue, stiffness of the tongue, inability to speak, night-time crying in children.

舌根痛，舌强，不能言语，小儿夜哭

3. Heart pain, agitation of the Heart, oppression of the Heart with absence of sweating, heat of the palms, tinnitus.

心痛，心烦，胸闷无汗，手掌热，耳鸣

4. Vomiting and diarrhoea, epigastric pain, sudden turmoil disorder, childhood nutritional impairment.

呕吐，腹泻，胃脘疼痛，突发急症，小儿营养不良
