受强降雨影响，长江上游干流及三峡区间来水明显增加，三峡水库入库流量快速上涨，7月17日10时涨至50000立方米每秒。根据《全国主要河流洪水编号规定》，达到洪水编号标准，“长江2020年第2号洪水”在长江上游形成。预计17日20时三峡水库最大入库流量在55000立方米每秒左右。

Affected by strong rainfall, the main stream in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the incoming water in the Three Gorges area increased significantly, and the inflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir rose rapidly, rising to 50000 cubic meters per second at 10:00 on July 17.  According to the “Regulations on Flood Numbering of Major Rivers in the Country”, the flood numbering standard was reached, and “Flood No. 2 in the Yangtze River 2020” was formed in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.  The maximum inflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir is expected to be around 55,000 cubic meters per second at 20 o'clock on the 17th.

Jingjiang levees are important to the middle and lower Yangtze River. Peak body has been blocked. Also, floodpeak reduced with time.

荊江大堤为长江中下游重要堤防段。荆江大堤用己之躯阻挡洪峰，可以使洪峰逐次递减.

Observing the water level of the Yangtze River this morning, the muddy sand is almost at the same height as the Jingjiang Embankment. The scene is very worrying. In the summer of 2020, the people of the whole city of Jingzhou will fight against the flood again, and strive to pass the dangerous period of flood control safely.

今晨观察长江水位，江水挟杂泥砂翻腾汹涌，江面快与荊江大堤同高，场景令人非常担忧。2020年夏伏天，荊州全市人民将与洪水再次决战，力争平安渡过防汛危险期。
