乔伊失去保险

剧情：乔伊因为很久没有接剧被停了保险，恰好得了疝气不敢去医院；菲比的灵婆测出她这周就会死，菲比很难过，谁知道测错了；罗斯接到纽约大学客座教授的邀请，因为紧张闹了笑话。

Magnet：磁铁，磁石

Monica: And it’s a magnet.

这也是磁铁。

（瑞秋要搬离莫妮卡的公寓，在看自己有啥需要拿走的，莫妮卡找到了一个开瓶器，瑞秋问还有啥嘛？莫妮卡回答，这同样也是一个磁铁）

Sediment:沉积，沉淀物

Rate:比率

Ross: Remember that paper I had published last year on sediment flow rate?

还记得我去年发表的关于沉积率的论文吗？

Lecturer:讲师，演讲者

Ross: They asked me to be a guest lecturer.

他们要我去做客座教授。

（罗斯因为论文被纽约大学邀请去做客座教授）

Chandler: Something from the screen Actors Guild.

Joey: It’s probably a residual  check.

是来自演员工会的。

可能是重播费。

（钱德勒收到演员工会寄给乔伊的信）

Expired:过期的，失效的

Chandler: It says your health insurance expired because you didn’t work enough last year.

上面说因为你去年没有足够的工时所以你的医保过期了。

Blinding:(疼痛）强烈的，使人炫目的

Joey: I got this blinding pain in my stomach when I was lifting weights before. And I passed out, And I haven’t been able to stand up since.

我在举哑铃的时候肚子一阵剧痛就倒下了，再也没有站起来过。

（乔伊得到了一个剧本试镜，想着好好健身，谁知道一不小心闪到了）

Hernia:疝气，脱肠

Chandler: That’s a hernia.

那就是疝气。

（乔伊说自己肚子出现了一个鼓包，钱德勒说那就是疝气）
