【Vicky's Flowers】Columbine 耧
相传在古罗马时期，有一种植物在妓女中非常流行。除了她美丽的外表和艳丽的颜色之外，妓女们还通过咀嚼这种植物来提高性欲。因此，古罗马时期少女是被禁止触碰这种植物的。随着人口的迁移和各种文化交流的频繁，这种植物从欧洲传入了亚洲，如今主要分布在我国青海、东北、甘肃这些区域。
她的名字就是「耧斗菜」，又被称作猫爪草。
In ancient Rome, there's a kind of plant that popular among prostitutes. Besides its beautiful appearance and bright colors, prostitutes also chewed the petals to boost their libido. As a result, maidens were forbidden to touch this flowers in Roman at that time.
With population migration and frequent communication of various cultures, this species was introduced into Asia from Europe. Nowadays, it is mainly distributed in Qinghai, Gansu Provinces and Northeast and of China.
Her name is Columbine and she also has a nickname called Cat-craw.
虽然名字里面有“菜”这个字，但其实她是一种非常美丽的花朵。耧斗菜的花期主要集中于5月到7月，喜欢生长在有腐殖质的土壤之中。耧斗菜可以适应干旱的环境，但是她非常惧怕高温，所以我们常常会在树荫下看到她的身影。
耧斗菜的底部储存着花蜜，而它们不同的花距是为了适应不同地区的授粉需求而做出的自然选择。
Although the name contains the Chines word "菜" which means dish, it is actually a very beautiful flower. Columbines mainly bloom from May to July, and they prefer to grow in soils that contains ample humus. Columbine can adapt to dry conditions, while she is extremely afraid of heat. For that reason, we would usually find her in the shade of trees.
Columbines store nectar at the bottom, and their different flower spacing is a natural selection for pollination in different regions.
耧斗菜不仅是具有很高的观赏价值，她同样还具有很高的药用价值，尤其在阵痛、止血方面有奇效。值得一提的是，她的花和叶子都具有一定的毒素，生吃的话很可能出现中毒症状。如果需要服用的话，请务必遵循医生的指示。

Despite of the highly ornamental value, Columbine also has plenty medicinal value, especially in labor pains and hemostasis. I wanna to emphasize that her flowers and leaves are nocuous. If you want to use them as medicine, be sure to follow your doctor's instructions.
