The meaning of a sentence

I haven’t written in English for a long time, and I think my English is going backwards.

There is an old saying in China “Learning is like rowing upstream; not to advance is to fall back.”

Yes, I think I should keep an good learning habit in order to improve my knowledge.

Thank you for all hard work.

I think it is a common sentence, but different people say it, and it has a different meaning for someone.

When my boss says it to me, I think I will feel very happy, cause I think my work has been recognized by the leader.

When my enemy says it to me, I know that he is laughing at me.

When my daughter says it to me, Tears is rolling in my eyes, cause it is so moving. You know, a six year old girl, when she is held by her father, and she saw the sweat ran down form his forehead, and she said very seriously to her father “daddy, thank you for all hard work.”

The same sentence, and it makes me feel different meaning.

In the end, I have learned a lesson, “Language is sometimes pale, it is not important that what they said, it is important that who said. ”

Ok, so difficult for me to write English words, cause there are not any words in my head, and many words suddenly are gone when I am writting the sentences.

I hope one day I could write very professional English sentences.
