世人慌慌张张 什么都赶不上

Along with this winter, the company is encountered with its winter after last year’s adjustment. The company went through another mass layoff, which extended from the senior leadership to ordinary employees, and my good friend was one of them. Although the people who are laid off are lucky to some extent in such a tough time for education and training industry, I’m still upset, not only for them but also for myself and many people like us.

伴随着这个冬天而来的，是公司继去年调整后的又一个寒冬。公司又经历了一次大规模裁员，从高层领导到普通员工。虽然在教育培训行业如此艰难的时期，“被裁”在某种程度上来说是幸运的，但我仍然很难过，不仅为他们，也为我自己和许多像我们这样的人。

People around me seem to be choked with life and work which are dominated by money-oriented stuff. The whole society is filled with panic and anxious atmosphere. Negative emotions like complaints from working, relationships, families freak people out at most of the time.

周围的人似乎被金钱主导的生活和工作所窒息。整个社会充满着恐慌和焦虑的气氛。大多数时候，来自工作、人际关系、家庭的抱怨等负面情绪让人抓狂。

But actually, such a problem cannot be solved by individuals, because it is a side-effect of development. What we can do is to improve ourselves and to keep pace with this increasingly higher-standard society, and there is no any other way out.

但实际上，这样的问题不是个人就可以解决的，这是社会发展的副作用。我们所能做的只能是提升自己，跟上这个越来越高标准的社会的步伐，别无他法。

I have talked this issue with my father. I said that maybe it would be better if we went back to countryside and did farmer things. He said that, you even didn’t know how to plant a seed. There is no way back at all. So, what does the industrialization and urbanization bring to the present generation.

我和父亲谈过这个问题。我说也许我们回到农村会更好。他说你甚至不知道如何播种。哈哈哈哈哈哈，毫无退路可言。那么，工业化和城市化给我们这一代人带来了什么呢?

Like other numerous youngsters, I have been in school for more than twenty years obtaining so-called knowledge, where didn’t even teach a single word about how to make a living, how to handle negative emotions, or tackle with complicated relationships with others in such a fast-developing and complex modern society.

和其他许多年轻人一样，我在学校里学习了二十多年所谓的知识，但是从来没有教过我们,在这样一个快速发展和复杂的现代社会中，如何谋生，如何处理负面情绪，如何处理与他人的复杂关系。

It seems that there is no smooth road in life from beginning to end, scattered with difficulties and obstacles all the time. From ancient time, people are constantly thinking about the meaning of life. I quite agree with Camus who believes that life is completely absurd. Like Sisyphus, we push the stone uphill until death, which is the end we all share. However, maybe the meaning of life is life itself, just as the meaning of travel exists during the journey. To say that life has no meaning is not to suck or give up on ourselves, but to find a way out and fight against the absurd. That may sound abstract, but we need to try our best to use everything around us, magnify our advantages, and continuously fight against this absurd and meaningless life.

人生似乎从来没有一条平坦的道路，始终充斥着困难和障碍。自古以来，人们就在不断思考生命的意义。我非常同意加缪的观点，生活是完全荒诞的。像西西弗斯一样，我们一次次推石上山，直到死亡，长途跋涉之后的死亡是我们共同的结局。然而，生命的意义可能就在于生命本身，正如旅行的意义正存在于沿途的风景一样。谈论到人生本无意义，并不是宣扬自暴自弃，而是要找到一条出路，与荒诞作斗争。这说起来可能有点抽象，但我们要尽力利用身边的一切，放大自己的优势，不断与这种荒诞而无意义的生活作斗争。

Much easier to say, but hard to do. Like a thousand Sisyphuses, just move on.

说起来容易，做起来难。像千千万万个西西弗斯一样，推着石头继续前行吧。
