《Down by the station》是一本非常有名的交通工具绘本，它的特点是可以利用朗朗上口的歌谣将全部内容背出来。本书不但把火车、出租车、消防车等交通工具的声音表现得惟妙惟肖，生动有趣的图画更紧紧抓住了孩子的目光，非常适合作为刚开始接触英文的入门书籍。这两天给漠漠读这本书的时候，他都忍不住会模仿消防车的声音，"nee nor!nee nor!"记得还要让孩子仔细观察书中各种交通工具及书中人物的动作喔！

《Down by the station》正因为是一本交通工具绘本，所以它和孩子生活中的见识就有很多交集，孩子在接触这些交通工具的时候就更容易明白和接受，家长教授给孩子的事物就更容易表达。妈妈在和孩子一起学习的过程中，就更能利用一些现实中的场景来互动，高效的学习方法就由此而来。妈妈可以模仿一些交通工具的声音，或者做一些看图识物等等方式来加强学习效率。妈妈可以把这些互动环节加入到正文学习中的任意一个环节，只要孩子感兴趣，循序渐进，学玩结合，学习的效率自然就提高了。
在学习这些陌生单词的时候，妈妈可以在其中模仿一些相关的声音，或者指出相对应的图片，以便孩子能够更容易接受和记忆。中间可以经常采用提问和相互问答的形式来和孩子一起学习和交流。
