A place that has been polluted

The river which runs through my hometown has been polluted.When I was young , the water in the river was so clear that people swam or washed clothes there.However, these days have gone forever .The river is now covered with rubbish which was thrown by people who live there.It is convenient for people to deal with rubbish in this way.People also lack awareness of protecting environment.At the same time,government hasn't played a corresponding role in handling the problem.It just lets people who dump the rubbish to their own devices.I can't stop picturing the clear river we used to have and feel so regrettable that it has been polluted.

Pollution issue is shared worldwide.It is no easy work to solve the problem especially when new scource of pollution keep showing up.One article said the package of delivery has become something that can't be unnoticed since online shopping seems to be a daily routine.What's more, shop owners tend to package things using more materials than necessary.They worry that consumers will ask for compensation once the thing bought is broken.Another source of pollution comes with take-out food .Some apps ,like meituan, lead to far more food delivery than before.

To reduce pollution, everyone should get involved by doing our own bit.The government has a leading role in protecting government.People need to be guided by government on the way to producing less pollution and more ways  shoud be figured out to process the rubbish that has been produced.On the bright side , some people and countries have some creative ways of dealing with rubbish.We should learn from them and encourage more good ideas.
