• if 和虚拟语气无关, 仅仅表示「如果」, if 从句里虚拟要用过去时, 这里面 was (偏口语) 和 were (偏书面) 都可以用, 查了很多说法, 建议在虚拟语气中统一用 were
• wish for 是做动词用
• buddy 哥们, 伙计 //man, pal, dude 也是这个意思
• got / have got 在口语中代替 have 表达「有」的意思
• omnipotent 是全能的意思, 音标为 [ɑmˈnɪpətənt]
  • 在片中 Joey 以为是「Um, impotent」(性) 无能
  • Ross 在纠正 Joey 的时候重读 OMnipotent 的时候 Joey 又以为是「I'm impotent」, 音标为 [aɪm] + [ˈɪmpətənt].
  • Joey 理解的逻辑是开始 Monica 问他如果他性无能的话, 会干嘛, 所以他先回答说会去死, 然后 Ross 听他这么说之后又说自己就是 impotent 的时候, 他对刚才在 Ross 面前说会自杀感到很抱歉.
