My Visit to South China Normal U
South China Normal University, located in Guangzhou City, a famous city in China, is a key university of first China 211 Project in China. This university was wellknown for its big scale. I am looking forward to visit it.
校道Luckily, I visited my old friend who goes to school at Shipai Campus of South China Normal University on a sweltering June day last year, so I had the chance to appreciate it's charm.
It took me about 2 hours to arrive at Guangzhou. It was new to me, so I spent almost an hour to arrive the university to assemble with my old friend. During the days here, my friend became a guide to lead me to visit her university.
华师的情人桥 华师的荷花池When I came to here, it was time to have a supper., so my friend took me to the canteen. At the very sight of the canteen, I was surprised by its big scale, neat environment and delicious food. After choosing what I like to eat, I enjoyed my meal with full appetite. My friend praised my great appetite for finishing what I had ordered. To tell the truth, the meal in this canteen was better than that in mine. I found out later this canteen was named Tao Yuan. There is no wonder why I had such a great appetite.
This done, we went for a walk at the school lanes, chatting something interesting and reviewing what had hapened in recent days.
当年留影Two hours later, my friend proposed I should come back her dormitory for a rest because I must feel tired for today's journey. I agreed. Then we walked towards to her dormitory. What appeared in front of me shocked me. It was, or could be called, an extreme old building, but it showed me a kind of classical sentiment. Curiously, following with my friend, I entered the dormitory. It is a room only concluding four iron beds, four small wooden desks and four old wooden chairs. "Where is the bathroom?" I murmured, frowned and wondered. My friend noticed my doubt and led me to look at the bathroom. What surprised me most was that the bathroom was public and there was only one in each floor. My friend told me they had to take a shower in the public bathroom and if they had to go to the toilet in midnight, they had to get up and went outside. I was not accustomed to having a shower in public bathroom but I had to. However, what I could control was not to drink much water in the evening in case I have to go to the toilet at the midnight.
在华师的点滴All things done, my friend shared her bed with me. Lying at the bed, we had some chats and then both of us fell asleep.
Next day, accompanied with the chirps of the birds, we got up. After finishing breakfast, my friend took me to appreciate beautiful scenery in her campus. We came to the Cultural Square. With clean environment and fresh air, three or four old, strong trees were in sight; a great number of green bushes were in two sides; and there was a Confucian Statue nearby. I regarded it as a pleasant place for people to enjoy. Walking along with the school lanes, a bridge came into view. My friend told me it was called Lover Bridge. What a poetic name it was! It must origin from a romantic story, I thought. I was immersed myself in its beauty while my friend continued introducing the bridge. There were a lot of lotuses under the bridge, red flowers mingled with the green lotus leaves. Stone benches in the shape of the trees could be found everywhere. This place may be considered as the most romantic one in this campus.
Unconsciously, it darked. We were reluctant to apart but it was time to say goodbye and leave. I never asked my friend whether she loved her university and enjoyed her life in South China Normal University or not. But I could read the answer in her eye.
