英语口语 和get相关的几个常用表达

1 get

She is getting thirsty / hungry.

她口渴/ 饿了。

I got tired / bored.

我很累/无聊。

I got bored.≠ I’m boring.

很多人在感慨“我很无聊”时，喜欢说“I’m boring.”，但是在英语中，“I'm boring”这句话其实是在表达：我这个人令人感到无聊，也就是“我很无趣”。要想形容“我很无聊，不知道要做什么”说“I got bored”比较准确。

2 You can’t get there from here.

意思：这个问题没法解决

例句：

You forgot it. You can't get there from here.

你别提啦。这个问题没法解决。

3 What you see is what you get.

意思：表里一致，心口如一，没有花招、虚浮、花言巧语

例句：

He is honest and never tells lies. It’s really what you see is what you get!

他为人诚实，从不说谎。这是真正的心口如一啊!

4 get in touch with + 人 联络

I need to get in touch with Sarah. Who has her phone number?

我必须联络 Sarah。谁有她的电话号码？

5 I don’t get why….

如果习惯了“I don't know why....”的表达方式，不妨尝试“I don’t get why ….”的句型让自己的口语表达更丰富。比如：I don’t get why my boss didn’t like me.（我不知道为什么我的老板不喜欢我。）

6 get over 克服 / 从某事恢复过来

Andrew is desperate. He hasn’t got over his breakup with his ex-girlfriend.

Andrew很绝望，他还没有走出和前女友分手的情伤。
