概述
- Druid的Indexing Service是一个分布式、高可用的，同时运行索引相关的tasks；
- Indexing Service相关的tasks有时创建新的（或销毁）Druid的Segment。Indexing Service具有类似于master/slaves的体系结构。
- Indexing Service 有三部分组成：
- Peon：用于运行单个任务；
- MiddleManager：管理Peons；
- Overlord：负责分发task给MiddleManager。
- Overlord和MiddleManager可能在同一个进程上运行，或者跨多个进程运行，然而 MiddleManager和Peon总在同一个进程上运行。
