Serial Position Effect: A characteristic of memory retrieval in which the recall of beginning and the end items on a list is often better than recall of items appearing in the middle.

序列位置效应：一种记忆提取方式，其特征是：在这种方式中，对于列表里的条目，从头到尾的回忆要比从中间某个条目回忆更好。

Serial Processes: Two or three mental processes that are carried out in order, one after the other.
