一位老师正在给二年级的学生讲自由女神像。她解释说，自由女神一只手拿着一本书，另一只手举着火把。然后她问学生们，他们知不知道自由女神为什么举着火把？
一个小家伙站起来回答道：“因为她在黑暗中不能看书。”
The reason
A teacher was describing the Statue of Liberty to her second -graders. She explained that the Lady Liberty held a book in one hand and a torch in the other. Then she asked the students if they knew why the statue held a torch.
One youngster stood up and answered, " Because she cannot read the book in the dark."
