【杂文随记】《摘》尼布尔的祈祷文

美国神学家尼布尔1934年写下了一篇堪称20世纪最著名的祷告文：

上帝，请赐予我平静

去接受我无法改变的。

给予我勇气

去改变我能改变的，

赐我智慧

分辨这两者的区别。

过好我的每一天，

享受你所赐每一刻，

把困苦当成通往平安的道路，

像主耶稣那样，接受这罪恶的世界，

按其现实本相，而非如我所愿

相信他会使一切变得美好，

只要我顺服他的旨意；

我可以在此生有合宜的欢乐，

并在永生里，与他永享至福

God! Grant me the SERENITY,

to accept the things I cannot change

COURAGE to change the things I can

and WISDOM to know the difference.

Living one day at a time

enjoying one moment at a time

accepting hardships as the pathway to peace.

Taking, as He did,

this sinful world as it is...not as I would have it .

Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will.

That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
